Thompson & Cleland 1996

So how heated was the confrontation after Snetterton 1996, when Thompson won after earlier in the race running into cleland at russell. I heard that they hardly talked for the rest of the year and that that was the reason Thompson left for Honda because they couldn't get on and it was one or the other.

Is this true.

I know the rift developed properly at Snetterton in '96 because Thommo effectively cost JC the race; but i think before then they weren't busom pals-there was over a 20-year age gap remember!

Hmm- I didn't know that JC wasn't happy with Thompson about that move. Of course, it looks a little to me like JC shook an angry fist at JT after he passed him like that!
Andy Rouse and Will Hoy, always bashing each other up. (Brands Hatch 1992)
Will Hoy and Julian Bailey.
Of course Muller and Plato.
Jonathan Palmer and Will Hoy.
Laraunt Aiello and David Leslie.
Anthony Reid, Alain Menu, and Rickard Rydell from 2000.
Hmmm... Anything else??
