Sprint invites

Hi,

Not sure where to post this, but as lots of you on the marshalls forum seem to be involved in the running of events, this seems a good place.

A championship I compete in are strugling to obtain an invite to a sprint in the South of England 03/04 July (preffered) or 17/18 July, anyone got any ideas? we have been known to marshall in between are runs if it helps

Mike

I believe BARC SE have a sprint/race on 17 July at Lydden.
It might be worth contacting them to see if they have a vacant slot.

You need to contact Graham Bahr for Lydden, Silverstone and Goodwood BARC sprints. He does post on ten-tenths from time to time so you could send him a PM.

Hi Mike!!!!

Is it safe for you to be marshalling???? I remember what happened at lawnmowers! Will you be back 'mowing the grass' again this year?

Which championship do you compete in? You should be affiliated to ASEMC or the like to get invited to sprints in their areas. However, I do know that the Bentley Owners Club are having a sprint at Colerne in July (same as last year) and BARC Midlands members are invited.

If you refer to the "White Book" (ie the bit of the Blue Book that contains a list of motor clubs) it will give you more information as to which Association of Motor Clubs your club needs to be involved with in order to gain invitations to sprints.

If you need any more information, please PM me and I'll try and help you.
