I'll be at T9 with Racegypsy and a catcher's mitt (especially for the Atlantics). Blueflagger will be at T8... latest weather reports call for possible showers Sunday afternoon. Anybody know if it's ever rained at LB for raceday? I know it's rained on practice days.

I don't think there has ever been a wet race.

Not in my memory anyways.

Someone else will know better than I do, though.

It has never rained on race day. It has been said that Pook made a pact, with the devil himself, that it would NEVER rain on race day.

Then again, what do I know? I just take pictures.

Spot on, Jeff. There have been wet practice sessions (I recall at least two) but no wet races at Long Beach.

Good race for those of you able to make it. Unfortunately I'm in Boston, thus unable to join you. Even worse, I have a class on Advanced Statistics at the very same time of the race - yes, at 4 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon!

Cheers,

Muzza

Status quo. Bourdais takes provisional pole.
PT hits the wall. It's really hard being a PT fan sometimes.
Bruno makes a strong return.
daMatta is faster than all of the PKV cars.
Will Power and Dan Clarke show the best of all the rookies.
It's nice to have Champ Car back

Yep, Legge did ok for 13th, I expect her to be on the verge of the top 10 hopefully in it tomorrow after more practice by qualfying 2.
Domingeuz was poor unfortuantely I hope he improves.
Clarke and Power did very well. AJ did a solid job....

yeah dominguez did pretty bad. But Christiano did really well considering the car. As well as Tags. And I guess Rusport is now up to par with NH.

Expecting more from Walker/Australia this year...now that they have a decent line-up. Will Power should push Tags along nicely, and get Walker back in the mix just like the de Ferran years.

Bernoldi will be in the second rocketsports car for the next race. However I doubt Vasser will be in the race although he might be as he wants to help out Servia and Kathrine. So it'll probably be 18 cars again for Houston.
