well it would be a bit hard for 2 drivers to drive one car, would be funny though watching them argue who was gonna steer and who was gonna do the pedals and gears would make a good comedy sketch hehe

A bit of early running before they bring the Insignia in to the championship?

As Matt Neal has been linked with the Honda drive at team Dynamics, I don't think there will be much of an argument...

Or an acceptance that an existing car might be a better prospect than trying to build a new car to new regs, particularly as they're also doing something (or hoping to) with a BMW M3 in British GT.

IIRC Thorney have posted before on here or the official forum, so they might appear to confirm/deny this. I reckon the Astra could look quite nice in the traditional black/green Thorney colours.

If Thorney reads this thread. Are there any photos of this BMW M3 GT3?

Shame, I think he could have been one to watch for a big improvement in results if he'd stayed.

That's assuming.. 1, they run two cars. And, 2 it is a fully funded works team?

Now that Herbert looks to be going abroad, who would TD get to drive the Civic if Matt goes back to 888?

Well we're almost there but cant see it happening now. We have a deal in place to run a two car team, have secured the cars needed but second drivers sponsors backed out so we are short so whole deal looks off. Our main sponsor is committed, we are committed but without the second car its unlikely to happen. I've spent the last day or so seeing if we can get another funded driver but not looking likely. Shame really as BTCC are keen to have them back in, the cars are pretty quick and we had plans to update them during the season but whilst we can afford to run one car we cant afford to run them both and the sponsor deal was for a two car team. Deals have a habit of coming together very late so I wasnt going to comment but as our name is mentioned on the thread I've little choice to speak up which is a bit of a shame as we still have people to speak to. Oh well.

Shame as the deal is already funded so the driver budget is roughly half what you'd expect in BTCC but as our funding requires two cars we are short so the deal is off.

The rest of our program (CSL Cup, British GT, GT Cup and Britcar) is unaffected so we will simply use the budget for that/ GT3 M3 will be unveiled at British GT Media day (or Britcars, not which is first)

A shame that it seems no Volvo's will be gracing the British grid this year.

I might actually attend if given the chance to listen to their glorious 5 cylinder engines once again.

Someone in the Marshals Forum has claimed AFM might be back with an LPG-fuelled car.

stedevil has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
With BTCC going Petrol only from 2011 with NGTC, how much sense does it make to spend time with LPG this season?

Don't get me wrong, I personally think it's great they are even considering it, but NGTC is so directly opposing to a multiple fuel racing series they won't have a chance to be allowed to race with it in the future.

I think AON have said it might be commercially related going down the LPG route. So could just be a sponsorship deal for 2010. Don't forget the S2000 cars will still run till 2013.

Morning, Ben here from AmD Essex ( aka AmD Milltek Sport Racing)

Just wanted to pop on and say thanks for the kind words with reguards to the blog, can't let Shaun get all the credit for it .

It's nice to know that people are enjoying it and popping back on for regular updates, makes it all worth while.

Hopefully the updates should be much more substantial and fast coming in the next two weeks as we have a deadline in mind for it being back together.

If anyone would like any hi-res shots emailed to them, then please email me on ben@amdessex.com
