Yup, Merc. That strategy gamble (or not) gets them my vote.

Mercedes for me, although I thought that they must be mad with that late tyre change !! but that's why I am only a humble motor mechanic and not a team leader

I certainly liked the go for it attitude of the team. They knew they had space to make an pitstop without losing a place so thought it was worth a shot. I wish people would try that more often.

After earning a thoroughly deserved Plonkers of the GP at the last race, Mercedes get an emphatic Team of the GP this time. Perhaps there should be a Strategist of the GP award for James Vowles. It was supreme agile thinking to spot a set of circumstances which are unusual but opened up the opportunity for them. There must be a few team de-briefs this morning where strategists are being asked "Would you have thought of that?"

I think a lot of them would have thought of it. Especially as the fastest lap has highlighted another benefit of stopping when there is a big enough gap to not lose a place.
Having the balls to go for it was the key.

Having read a bit more on Autosport, it seems they were evaluating and discussing it for 6 or 7 laps, so it wasn't quite the seat-of-the-pants decision I thought. But still I can't see any other team having the imagination or courage to do it.

Mercedes.... the strategy call for Lewis was brilliant, and was key to his winning..

Undoubtedly Mercedes. After looking like rank amateurs last time out they called the strategy brilliantly.

i voted Merc because i liked to see them use an aggressive strategy. old school in a way and let your driver go out and get it sorted.
but i also liked what i saw from Ferrari. for sure they were way off the pace so bad, but they also ran two different strategies and it sort of looked like they were actually running a garage with two distinct sides.
ultimately the pass did not seem coordinated right?

Mercedes nailed it.
Ferrari were off the pace and made mistakes during pit stops again. I'd struggle to give them runner up.
