Le Mans in the Chat Room
As we're getting nice and close to the big weekend, it's about time to draw reference to the Chat Room!
Many of you will remember that last year during the race itself quite a few people who sadly couldn't make it to the race came into the room, got RLM on the computer, and then we all discussed what was happening as it occured - plus updated each other on anything we may have missed. Obviously, we will be doing this again this year - so please come and join us if you're about!  We were also looking at the potential of a preview chat - but I want opinions! It has been suggested this can occur during the practice/qualifying sessions and then they can be discussed at the same time. Any comments on this, please let us know Connection to the Chat Room is either through the button at the top of your page; a non-Java client; or if you have an IRC Client through irc.phishy.net and in channel #motorsport. And please use your 10/10ths nick so we know who's who! Hope to see some of you in there!

Come on then people, lets have some ideas for this..... Its a far better idea than a thread which runs during a qualifying session and ends up with 200 posts in the space of half an hour.......

Good Point Ayse, sadly you not be getting on of world famous Qualifying or Race Thread's this year as I wouldn't have access to the net at the circuit......

Last year was great in the chat room, so this year I will be there again. (And this year I have a DSL connection
)Suggestion: Pre-race chat on Wednesday or/and Thursday during qualifying sessions? Let's say around 19:00h (7pm) CET? I'm not a great "chatter" as Asp knows, but I'll see if I can pop in on Wednesday evening - probably while the 1st session is on. I'll give Thursday a miss though.......

mIRC isn't freeware anymore! It allows a 30 day trial, and since I only chat during this race, no problems for my work - but I have install restrictions for other programs (darn IT guys), so I'll stick with it for tomorrow and Thursday.
