Yet another sign of the impending Apocalypse...
...... my flag grade finally arrived from the MSA!!!
Apparently the gestation period for an upgrade is roughly the same as for that of a human.... |

lol, now I just have to work out a way to get an I/O assessment based on cumulative previous experience rather than on sigs.

Are you actually "Required" to undertake an assessment? I was "Observing" (From a distance) at Knockhill (Seen you working at Anglesey too)and your post seemed fairly busy(KH). Based on experience and previous comments on your PRC, can you not ask for an upgrade despite the lack of signatures?

I've also witnessed Grant on a very busy post (Brands Hatch 4a) a number of years ago at the Formula Ford Festival. I'd be more than happy to have him on my post as an I.O. Lets hope that you can get an upgrade done (bit like studying at the open university!)

I really should get things sorted out at some point, maybe that's my task for 2013, to get an official grade for the stuff I've been doing for close on 10 years

Might not have understood this fully but.......was told, a couple of weeks back by a BMMC Heirarchy-type person, that if a person demonstates exceptional skills/attitude or has a "Biggie" to deal with.......then the Examining Post Chief (On The Same Post) can effectively use that as "The Assessment" (Regardless of required signatures) and sign the PRC assessment page.
Am sure someone else will put me right! |

Oh, I'm sure I've been accused of having an "exceptional attitude" on many occasions, or maybe that's "objectionable attitude", not sure...

From the 2012 MSA material "If a marshal is seeking track or experienced track gradings and handles a major incident during the day, then the Post Chief may recommend that the signature for the day is treated as an upgrade signature. In this case the Post Chief should indicate so on the card and ask a senior or examining grade official to countersign the record card" Dave |

Thanks........Am guessing that the IO role isn't included in that then!
In and amongst all this complicated & confusing grading stuff, I mustn't forget to say WELL DONE TERRI who is now armed and relatively dangerous in the art of tea-cloth waving |

So that's why you are so much thinner than me; you burn the calories out before eating. I'll have to try that method. I had thought about exercise but had a lie down and a sandwich until I'd got over it.

Or as an alarm clock. I was on holiday one year and someone missed their breakfast because the smoke alarm didn't go off!
