fazza should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
are we not all missing the point here....yellow flag means stop racing through the sector until you see a green flag. the next flag point could be a waved yellow with marshals trackside. drivers saying that they are becoming compacent to the waved yellow is the issue here.

ANY yellow meens get out of the gas peddle and watch out waved or static.

When drivers start to remember this flagies may start to signal easier, but when you've had so many yellows passed with cars still racing ( 4 drivers at Anglesey this weekend were reported for overtaking under yellow) then you tend to want to get the drivers attention.

Both have to make a change and it must strat with the drivers your in the metal boes we're protected by the small square piece of cloth.

Just my opinion other may differ.

Just to add some local knowledge to your discussion: be aware there is NO stationary yellow in Holland. Flagging is done strictly by FIA rules. So yes, one can expect a RIV on track under waved yellow. Sadly we lost the stationary yellow about a decade ago, meaning there is no difference in the urgency of a (single waved) yellow flag. Could be an incident on track or next to it, just be prepared to "something".

Woolley has is bang on. Competitors are trackside of their own choice - marshals go trackside to sort out their messes. If marshals are trackside of the barrier they are automatically in an unsafe position and the least they hould expect is waved yellows - which they will always get from me. But I always emphasise that the yellow flag isn't made of kryptonite ...

...and Belgium as well. Racing at Zolder this weekend, we had double waved yellows (and frantic waving of arms) at the first corner for cars/marshals/trucks in the gravel trap, but no stationary yellow preceeding it. So you can race to within 20 (?) yards of the incident...! At least the UK stationary yellow gives time & distance to sort the order out before we get to the area.
