And in my opinion (I do realise these things are all subjective) La Comtesse looks rather fetching. I fear you do her a disservice at times sir (Compte). You should be rather chuffed to have a woman like that on your arm.

Hard work to read but the description is worth the comedy value. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...318064&afsrc=1

Have spent all week scouring ebay and other sites trying to source an ideal car for someone, criteria changed nightly so by today had a long list of 'possibles' to go view tommorow. Now said person doesn't want to travel far and assumes the correct car will mysteriously appear on doorstep..........dontcha just love wasting time

BTW learnt a new term for fake cars at the Rally Show today, the commentators called them "Tribute Cars". Never heard that before - loads of Quattros, Mk1/2 Escorts, all purporting to be famous cars, not one of them genuine.... |

My favourite term is 'evocazione'.
Ohh, is that the Italian for fake, then? |

I've never quite grasped where the term tribute ends and where other terms for copies start.
In the music world you'd never hear of a band being called Queen impersonators - they'd be a Queen Tribute Band. I think you'd be unlikely to hear of a George Formby Tribute Act - he would be a George Formby impersonator. Confused of Addlestone... |

Is it possible to get Disq and DNF in the same event? If not think I may have claimed a record.
Did duathelon couple of w/e ago which involved a run/cycle/run team event. Well got myself all excited and thought it would be good training for Delta's Stoke Row Festival of Speed and entered. Started off well but then on the second lap of the cycle (round a mountian bike track) the chain snapped. Ran back to the transition area and was halfway through fixing it when some bright spark offered me their spare bike - gratefully received so off I charge only to arrive 3, sweaty, all in and knackered laps later to hand over to the running team when I was told I was disqualified for "outside assistance" i.e. using someone else's bike! When the results came out they also had me down as DNF on the basis I had to walk/run half a lap with the bike when the chain snapped. Bit of a cheek, I thought! |

Shame the Track owners didn't provide a 'snatch' system Nick.

Spose your right really, the Japs are looking at ways of creating sounds for these very uninteresting cars, just shove a large 'beat box' into them, that'll get everyones interest.

Coincidence! Received the following in a press release today:
:: Delta Motorsport Delta Motorsport has a background in high-performance engineering and is best known for designing and building the cars which competed in the Grand Prix Masters series. It is building the E4 Coupe - a compact, lightweight, low-drag, four-seat passenger car, with a super-efficient drive train to improve performance and range. The car is a fully-functioning concept car, built as a showcase for its engineering prowess, with an aim to enhance Delta's profile with OEMs developing mass-market EVs to generate business. For more information please visit www.delta-motorsport.com. Just FYI. Max |

They have had to stop building the extension next to my workshop until the blue tits have flown.
The nest has been built inside a course of celcon blocks and if I put the snake-cam inside to have a look the youngsters try to eat the end off the tiny lens |
