peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
you have to love lap ten, cars passing each other for the lead, top 6 or 7 cars nose to tail, lets go to an ad break.

Looking forward to Foxtel

apart from that. Race 3 was an exciting race

they just need to do something about chicane cutting.

Surely it could be just something simple like having to come to a complete stop for 5 seconds or something similar

Why not just close the end off and make the driver back their way out. That way there would be an inherent penalty in using it.. and not an easy escape.

Not a bad idea. Would it create an ugly re entry issue?

Do they use that format for all races on the weekend or just the v8s?

SVG has got a 25 point penalty for not allowing enough room for Bright

a fair penalty normally, But 25 points in a 50 points for the win race is a bit different to 25 ponts in a 150 points for a win race

although interestingly does not affect the JR trophy points, while brights penalty did, another inconsistency. (not that it matters after race 3)

All races. The track doesn't currently have a licence for NOT using the new corners but was apparently seeking one, giving promoters the option of old or new track layouts. (The new layout adds approximately 9 or 10 seconds to lap times for most classes.)

Adding an extra row of tyres would slow them down enough to create a penalty. You can't reverse onto the track against the flow...

Wet weather and poor drainage has caused a load of problems on the new section so not sure if that has been addressed, so pray for continued good weather tomorrow.

It appears those issues have been resolved after the first V8 SuperTourer meeting which took place there, highlighting the issues with the circuit. There have been several very very wet meetings since then which haven't seen any issues.

penalty points now affect the trophy, which is the correct decision

So they have given a penalty, but just confirmed the inconsitancy (not the same penalty). The #97 offence was as clear cut as the #8 offence and could have been dealt with a drive through at the time!

They have now though, which it should have always been in all point penalties given this weekend.
Just shows how "on the run" they are running this sport.
