Just remembered ....

There is a MotoX/Quad track set back from the track in the area of the Bridge and Kirkby Straight. It usually seems to have some entirely unconnected action going during race days. That can make for some interesting photographic opportunities between races or if there are enforced interludes for other reasons. Worth watching for.

On the downside ... if it has been very dry the bikes/quads can kick up a lot of dust so care required changing lenses, etc.

Still time to get an entry without penalty charge!

Here's the latest news from the CTCRC about our upcoming event at Mallory

CTCRC Classic Festival at Mallory Park – 18th & 19th June

The CTCRC’s big event is next weekend and promises to be our best yet. The track action kicks off with a sprint on Saturday morning, followed by races for all the CTCRC championships, the Lansdowne Classic Motorcycles and the Alfa Romeo Owners Club across the rest of the weekend.. On Saturday evening there’ll be a barbeque for club members and their friends and families whilst the Red Bull girls will be hand during the day to quench thirsts in the paddock..

Festival Entries

With just a week to go it looks like we’ll have some very healthy grids next weekend. There is now just one space left on the Classic and Historic grid for Pre 66 cars but more spaces are available on our other grids.

To enter the races (or the sprint) please visit the CTCRC website CLICK HERE where you can enter online or download entry forms.. Entries will be accepted until midday next Wednesday (15th June) and late entry fees will not be charged.

Discounts

Most CTCRC racers are eligible to compete in more than one CTCRC championship and the discounted second and third race entry fees at Mallory means these are great value. For an extra £100 you can compete in another two races and a further two for just £70. For further details please see the race entry form.

Having seen the entry list I can confirm numbers are excellent. Seven double-headers have 29, 19, 19, 24, 29, 21 and 21 entries respectively. That includes 31 Alfas - they are overflowing into the Classic Thunder race!

WOW!

Just like the old days Al. Excellent. Really looking forward to it. It's been ages since I was last at Mallory, so it will bring back a lot of happy memories.
Thank you Al.

Fantastic Day Out.

I would like to thank everyone that made my return visit to Mallory after all these years so pleasurable. To all the drivers that chatted to me, and wanted to hear what it was like to race back in the sixties and seventies, to the officials that stopped to chat to me, and to the Marshals that remembered the old car. Thank you all, it was a great day, the weather was kind, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Once again, Thank you all.

Thoroughly enjoyed today's racing as a spectator - thanks to the CTCRC for putting on a great show.

Only one complaint - not enough Camaros out on track

What went wrong this time Al?

A thoroughly enjoyable event that it was a great privilege to work at. One of the best crowds I have seen at a car meeting at Mallory for some time/
