If that's correct, then you can't use almost all of your 120 litres in 56 laps can you. I still don't believe I'm nearly half a litre per lap out.
Fact, 120l is the tank size, add pumps and sponge. Displacement with those fitted you will never get 120 into the tank.

Just clarifying really, please don't think I am trying to make excuses for the team. Just trying and interested (as I am sure many here are) of the exact facts and timings.

Don't really get why some on here will post snippets then call others dumb when they try and figure out the rest.
It was given about 15 mins before the start of the first race. It's a control part simple.

If it is so simple why was a notice given out about it 15 mins before the race?

And 56 laps, plus a formation lap, a couple of warmup laps, and a lap under the safety car to start the race,

how many laps did the cars actually do?? possibly more than 60.
I was not there and they dont show all them on tv so ....???

more than 60 laps, less than 120L, hmmmmm
and different drivers probably have different burn rates too.

Safety car laps count as race laps though...

I know that,
but how many laps had they done before the light went out at the start of the race?
The race didn't start as they left pit lane,
and I doubt they would have topped up the tanks sitting on the starting grid.

One lap from the pit to the grid, two warmup laps leading up to the rolling start, 56 race laps and another lap to get them back to the pits so 60 in total although not all at full burn of course

Pumped 8L out of the car after the the race. Surge pot and lines plus 3-4L
So they played it safe on the day. Why risk it and look silly having half the grid run out of gas. 60-56 big deal move on.

We were also one of the quick guys and there were more than two, it came down to where you started and where you finished, that proves if you were on the pace or not.

It appears that perhaps you didn't see or follow the racing as closely as you would like us to believe. I am not putting the slipper into you, but it does hurt a little when you work your guts out all weekend to do well and to be on the pace and nobody notices.

Your first post on this subject made me sit up and take notice and I thought who is this cheeky guy, Woolleys brother inlaw. But then you went and spoilt it, your second post proved to me that you are also just a little kid like us.

Welcome to our club.
