Masters - Brands Hatch May 29/30/31
Who else is off to Brands for the weekend? I'm going to be there on Sat and Mon (elsewhere on Sunday with family).
First meeting in the UK this year for me after That Sodding Volcano [tm] scuppered my meetings in April... so I'm looking forward to it! |

I'm there Saturday only. I know that MSVR could do with a few more marshals, particularly Sunday and Monday, so late availability enquiries to Mildred Wiltshire :- email bhmarshals@msvracing.co.uk.

I'll be there Sunday and Monday only, can't do Saturday. Looking forward to it as I missed last year when my car head gasket blew on the way there, on the M3.

Greg, plan on having a BBQ sunday, if the weathers bad sleeping in the Kentagon sounds like a good idea.
Matt, see you there, track and Kentagon. |

Sunday Monday fo me, was going to do all three but common sense and the need to expend some cash on my car (thank you EBC for cheap brakes!!) meant I dropped the Saturday. Should be a good'un, seeing these cars on the GP loop is a real treat for the senses

Saturday was wet'n'windy for the most part, but still some good sessions from the Top Hat crowd. Quali for the "Stars of the 70s" race was epic, with positions going up and down every lap.
Was a shame to see the Ferrari in the session eventually expire, though. Was looking forward to seeing that one going full chat. Had a look round the assembled open wheeler and sports cars at lunchtime - Emmo's McLaren looked great, as did the collected Chevrons. Looking forward to tomorrow now Hello to Neil, Stewart, Paul, Jan, Lynne and Luke who braved the weather on post 2. Fingers crossed today (for those who are there) and Monday (for me!) are a bit drier... |

Very very well done to Mr Bodysnatcher and his beachboys; Bob and the guys from post 3 and also to post 2 for their work with the big "off" at Paddock. Some absolutely fantastic marshalling and a reminder that you guys really are the best
There was some great marshalling all weekend, we were short handed and you all rallied together and produced some great results. Thank you and well done everyone |

Unfortunately history seems to be repeating itself for Mr BS, 0n 26th May 2009 he wrote "Well, the weekend ended with a bang...." after the final day of last years Masters Festival courtesy of a Frenchman and a Lotus
Sorry Al but could you do another post next year PS thanks for the blanket holding |

I realise that I have failed to mention the rescue guys, fire truck guys, the medics and everyone else involved in the incident as I was focussing on the initial few seconds after the incident. The "cavalry" response was as usual fantastic, I can only imagine how a driver must feel to have such a high level of care and attention following an incident.

The driver was unbelievably controlled during the whole affair. I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery from his injuries. |

cheers to the team on 9 on Saturday - a good day even if the weather wasn't.
cheers to the guys on 8 Sunday and Monday - a couple of good days with some excellent racing (at least until the driver changes). Hopefully things went ok with me "in charge". Roll on next weekend |

Had an enjoyable weekend - 25 on Sat and then 22 on Sun/Mon. Thanks to my co-postees, we made the most of a quiet post
I think Stack got the Indy 500 on the TV's, judging by the wrestling being on Sky4 on Monday morning in the Kentagon, although we never made it down from the campsite. |
