Enjoy - we've got a long weekend and I will likely be out at a cottage so likely won't get any coverage

Yikes, what happened with Will Power then? And Milka outqualifies eight drivers?

Thanks Jimmy, Peat's joke went right over my head. It doesn't take much.
Speaking of which, my speculating about testing the new aero rules was apparently bogus. I watched an interview with Barnhardt today, explaining that all of the optional downforce elements have been previously used and should already be in each teams' toolbox. But he admitted he was unsure of what the cumulative effect of the added extensions and the wicker removal will be, and the interview did not speak to the P2P issue at all. And less track time to find out, as I now have found out. |

To clarify the "issue" with why qualifications were not held, heavy rains cause "weepers on the track that would not go away...the forecast for tomorrow is a good one, so hopefuly, they can run the race tomorrow night.
My thoughts/ They did diamond grinding on the track because of bumps that had to come out for the Indy cars to run there...NASCAB truck drivers wore mouthpieces two weeks ago due to the bouncing and jouncing they experienced (allegedly). That would make the track soak up rainfall, and northern Kentucky supposedly got as much as six inches of rain this week, including very heavy rain last night that lasted until about dawn. I'm leaving tomorrow at about noon or so to go down...I do have a hotel, since it is the nightcap of he twin-bill race weekend... I hope I don't have to wait until Sunday to watch them race, because ther is another chanc eof rain comingin Sunday morning...I will not be happy. |

RHR said the Push to Pass didn't feel like much af a gain....but the practice session just concluded featured a fair amount of dicing. I think the reduced turbulence and the jumbled starting grid will make for a great show tonight. Here's hopin', anyway.

Feels good to start breathing again, phew - what a finish! Great race, especially after the last couple of oval snoozers.

Very enjoyable race, wanted Briscoe to win, but would've taken P2 if Ed could've won...
