I remember being amazed at the sheer amount of damage on AWEs car one weekend: can't remember which round but you posted a short walk around video.

He hadn't even been in a "crash" as such, just clearly roughed up like fairground dodgems. Looked like Jaws had eaten his sill too! Am I remotely right in thinking this sort of poor bump and bang driving - by some, not including AWE - is a major part of the budget?

So if RWD has a new 30kg weight penalty this year, has TOCA conceded ground on the 1st gear ratio they were forced to change...?

Presumably the change for the Subarus is that they have to put that weight further forward to counteract how far back their engine is? Bit like the change last year when they raised their CofG.

Interesting to read on the excellent Touring Car Register that Josh Price and Jason Plato have swapped cars for this year, and Ash Sutton is using the ex-James Cole chassis.

Why would they choose to leave ash Sutton’s car in dust covers, when Plato’s car was a mess?

I would have a guess at who actually owns the cars having a say (£££ talks).

Suttons car is shaped like a banana after Rob Austin at Snetterton.

Even more impressive that he held on to win the title if that's the case

And yet he still got 2 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds, and overhauled the championship leader out of the remaining 12 races...

Don't think this has been mentioned but it may be worth noting how few team changes we've had this silly season. On my count, only 5 drivers from 2017 switched to a different team for 2018: Chilton, Cole, Cook, Butcher and Simpson (although still racing an identical car under the Simpson Racing banner.)

@AmD Tuning / Shaun H

I doff my cap to you Sir: those MGs were nothing short of brilliant. Whatever you and the boys did with them over the winter you've transformed them from embarrassment to contenders. I thought you'd gone a little insane taking them on to be frank, whether you had a crystal ball or blind faith they've come up trumps.

Good to see Oli on it too. So 8th and 9th in the championship... better than your wildest dreams?

Now if you can branch out into fettling humans then Matt Neal and Plato looked like basket cases of the same proportion as the MGs last year...

Well tbh the AMD cars were up there in R2 due to the weather, but they were holding there own in race 3, so well done

Ollie Jackson had ballast in race 3. That must have been a new feeling!

Looking at the lap times from Thruxton yesterday it would seem a Honda engine is the thing to have

Low drag, good engine and one of the best chassis? Wanna bet against them this year?

That is likely to be half way through the season as this year's regulations calls for one adjustment only, if it is required.
