If you get out to see highlights, watch for the last lap by MS. Genius is the only way to describe him.

I think egotistical lunatic can also be used, but I'll agree when he's on a hot lap, genius is a deserved moniker. I look forward to seeing the lap.

There was no need to highlight my boys...
Wow, Gaston outqualifies Marc for only the 2nd time. AND Gene had problems on his last lap when he would have undoubtedly got a higher placing. Dammnit! |

Gee, Gene is lucky to even make the grid. He made it by 2 thousandths of a second.
Nice one by Fissi though! and de La Rosa in 5th!!! Although it obviously is not representive of their actual speeds. The race will try to sort that out. Anyone know the forecast? |

The low pressure that has been sitting over UK for the past couple of days and causing all those lightning storms and heavy showers has thankfully moved away.....
....to position itself more or less directly over NE Germany!!! Looks like fun!! |

According to AutoSport.Com a bunch of fans camping in the infield were flooded out and hit by lightning - actually had to go to hospital! Looks as if the safest place to be was on the track.
P.S. Do you think that if Fisi had stayed on the front row, the stewards would have DQ'd his time for not weighing in before he set the time? I bet they would have. We MUST have Ferrari and McLaren on the front row. Or McLaren alone. For one lap. |

Minardi Fan!! You should try to access Gale Force for their record of their live report of quals. It does tell you at what time each car was making which lap, and I think that most of the top six got there around the 4th minute of quals. Fisi was very lucky to get out later when there was a very short break in the rain, and of course, MS did his sensational lap crossing the start line as the chequered flag was being waved. Gale Force even has nice coloured blocks to identify the teams. Cute cars at the top of the screen too. Only trouble is that it is not a patch on the direct TV telecast, but we don't get that in Oz.
