That is fantastic news. Hope he can take the fight to Hamilton, although ASM probably have a slightly better car than HBR!

Stephen Jelley is also out this weekend with the Midland team. Hasn't been on the pace though, neither has Danny, but with these two in there are 5 Brits to cheer on this weekend!!

Doesn't work for me either, but live timing is okay. Not a good race for the Brits. Rossiter 10th, Hamilton 12th (after recovering from a tangle with di Resta, who was last but set fastest lap), Watts 15th and Jelley 20th.

The first two were out on their own by over 15 seconds and Hannes Neuhauser, who has previously been nothing special, seems to have plugged a Mercedes engine into his car and jumped up to 4th...

yes he did quite well, he didnt know the car, he didnt know the track, though he was 0.1 sec faster than his teammate in sector 2

Guerreri has some serious problems, he only gains about 0.150sec with new tyres compared to used ones, other drivers gain 1sec

Yes, you're right. I was misled by thinking of HBR as an Opel team and by this being the first time (I think) that he has shown this well. It's interesting that the team runs both engines, but it does explain something else that was puzzling me.

Agree it's a little bit strange, but it does explain the difference!
