The way the old-spec Peugeots went in the two South American TCRWT rounds, there’d potentially be a market for them there |

My belief is if the category gets less high maintenance ownership and no longer tries to be the big cheese then maybe entry fees are reduced and media could be better, but that doesn't change the facts that the anti competitive supply arrangements make cars that should be cheaper to run than Super2 more expensive.

The current string of articles and the strenuous denials from ARG seem to indicate a revolt might be brewing.
Would Mr Lotti be OK with TCR running with AASA? Made more complicated by the issues around TCR logbooks and so on but restraint of trade is an interesting area of law. |

MA holds the local TCR rights which were tendered out to ARG to run the series, I wonder how long that contract is for?

Contracts for running the series seem irrelevant when nobody wants to show up with the fust collecting cars in their back sheds, unused..

The interesting thing about the 2024 TCR/SpeedSeries season is that, using QR as an example, the only stories & reporting to come out of that round (beyond race results & disqualifications) in the general motorsport media was all about the low TCR grid numbers and the Olyphant incident.
Nothing noteworthy about the GT’s or Trans-Am despite those being made out as the standouts of the program this year. |

FIA TCR World Series will be racing at the Bend next year.
Their main support category will be Supercars for their inaugural running of the Bend 500. |

I see what you did there...... Story here - putting the best international foot forward might be the way for TCR to effectively start over here. |

Great announcement. Sad fact that if they did try a 500km race, you might not have a podium.

Brad Harris bumped Soutar into the wall (Tony D got collected as well) in SMP Race 2 which probably hands the title to Buchan if Soutar DNS in the last race now.

Are they not doing 20 laps at Bathurst this year like in 21 & 22? From what I was told last years races were only shortened due to TCR World Tour TV windows. |

No Alfas or Renaults now. Hyundai, Audi, Peugeot and the fake Chinese brand probably reliable enough although one Pug did blow a turbo last time around. Am I the only one wondering who GRM might sell cars to? Surely they need a European support base. Sent from my SM-S908E using Tapatalk |

The only person to bring enduros back up was you with reference to the world round supporting the Bend 500 Hybrids were talked about in 2022 around the time the TCR World Tour was launched. That’s seemingly coke to nothing. Quote:

11 entries for the final, and the only known pilot isn’t running, giving his car back to its owner…
Story Here If someone wanted to rent one of the many chassis sitting in sheds, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that a Bathurst top 10 in a national category awaits.. |

I admire GRM for doing it but it seems TCR worldwide is in decline, how many can they sell?

General feeling talking to team owners and some drivers yesterday was while more cars would be better, they didn’t seem overly worried by only 11….
…..which is weird, but maybe they know something for next year is coming (ie….Supercars?) Quote:
Honda Australia is in some trouble of late generally, not a surprise a niche TCR program was dropped Quote:
Sounded as if GRM wanted to build their own cars and Peugeot obliged with the IP support. If Peugeot Sport France cared they’d have done the cars in Europe presumably |
