Motors TV - Classics Show

Have you seen it? Can you even get the channel?

I only ask because I happened to glance on the television tonight, and saw the name Jean Guichet flash up.

Funny, I thought - what are they doing flagging the name of a sixties Ferrari driver? Well, they only found and interviewed him, along with footage of the Ferrari walkover in the 1963 Le Mans race.

And then after the break, a Renault-made film celebrating the Le Mans history of Alpine, from 1964 to the race winning A442 in 1979.

And that's footage I've never seen before in my entire life.

Have I missed any other gems? And what could they possibly come up with next?

Rutle should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I saw it myself and had all the exact same thoughts. What fantastic footage in both programmes! There must be hours and hours of such footage about of all those 'good old days' but it's so unusual to see it broadcast. Luckily (and surprisingly for me) I already had a blank tape in the VCR and recorded all but the first couple of minutes of the Guichet programme. Whatever they come up with next - I can't wait. Keep it up Motors TV. With your Classic and Legends series you are keeping a lot of long time enthusiasts very happy indeed.
