Speedworx should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mercedes and ELMS

I'm not sure if this in legal or not, but why doesn't a team purchase 2 of the 1998 Mercedes CLK-LMs and race them in the ELMS. Its would give the Johansson Audi and Lansera Panoz some competition.

What do other people think?

Why would Mercedes be embarrased of a car that won them the 1998 GT Championship?

Or someone could buy 2 Toyota GT-ONEs.

I should've said any sportscar carrying the MB logo rather than that particular car which performed very well, I think MB has been scared off of sportscar racing due to the gg facial they received in 99.

Think of the cost. To buy 2 CLK would cost more than 2 million pounds, and even more to run them. That is why the GT1 class went under.

First of all, don not think that anyone could get a GT1, EX Toyota, on tha pace of the audi's and besides, if they did attempt it the cars would become extremely unreliable as they would be strained to the braking point. the cost of converting the GT1 cars wth the flat bottoms to a workable flooring which would not affect the cars performance.

Speaking of Mercedes and sportscars, I heard there was a team (ironically named Flying Tiger Motorsports or something like that) that was going to campaign a GT-class Mercedes in the last 2 rounds of the ALMS...
