Mhhh....I know I should be ashamed about making this question and consider myself someone with "moderate" knowledge of the technical aspect of motor sports but...

Why do F1 cars have high noses?? My guess would be that the high nose accelerates the air that is going to flow under the car and therefore generate a lower pressure under the car and generates a lot more downforce without generating additional drag.

Am I right or should I feel ashamed??

THR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Thats part of it,

the other part is that when u have a low nose the front wing isnt quite as effiecent. as it has to be connected to the tub by using part of its width.

also, low noses make the overall shape of the car a bit like a aerofoil the wrong way up (ie creating lift).
high noses make the air go in a different direction.

im not sure wot % gain the low nose gives the cars tho?

Mackmot should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Also the high nose allows a ot more air into the side pods and throuh the splitter
