2022 Repco Supercars Championship - Wonderful Winton

No doubt most Supercar fans are busy grabbing a sausage while doing their democratic duty and voting for Clive Palmer, Harvey Norman or the Greens. Then home to get ready and watch the election night counting, and listening to some boring knob give his or her in-depth analysis on why voters, decided to vote for the Shooters and Fishers Party.

Fortunately we have wonderful Winton to distract us from Democracy Day!

Will SVG continue on his winning way, or will Mr Mostert find some pace in his kit bag or will Mr “future dad” Courtney be a little lighter and a bit faster!

Ive never been to Winton, but geez incar footage looks insanely tight and intensive.

Maybe one day.

Nice win for Cam, well deserved

David Reynolds' fitness must be a concern. He was shattered after finishing 3rd yesterday.
Both Cam Waters and SVG did the same amount of intense racing' miles probably at a higher stress level than Reynolds and both emerged from their cars looking like they could do another race straight away.

Really really happy for Cam although I'm afraid it's just the sweet spot for Winton, not a breakthrough for the rest of the season....
Shame, Waters and Mostert seem like the only guys able to challenge SVG but both driving for teams who are very inconsistent.

Winton was weird. The teams that test there did well. Andre Heimgartner had a solid weekend. Shane took home more trophies and Red Bull Racing went well there.

No refuelling was odd. Courtney had pregnancy brain in the last race of the weekend. I am starting to miss seeing Ryan Story on TV.

And Tim Blanchard was in a Formula Ford.

Most weird.

Having just caught up with the Winton races and for someone geographically displaced from the action, what's the explanation for DJR's lack of performance? As much as I enjoyed Cam Waters battling with SVG i couldn't understand why the Shell Mustangs were so much of the pace?

Roger's wallet, Ryan's smiling assassin nature, and a bloke named Scott.

Winton was interesting, from my point of view as driver / crew chief of Safety 1 it was a very quiet weekend with only really the utes giving us any real work to do.

That is if you ignore the need to sweep the gravel off the track between races, why do they fix track edges with large gravel rocks
