Britcar Brands Hatch 13th March

well less than a week to do until the first car meeting of the year at BH, which is the Britcar enduro, featuring all three of their championships. The main event being a 2 1/2 Hr GT race.

Who will be going to this? Will be the second meet of the year for me, afterward a rather eventful, incident filled weekend at the BMCRC.

I'll be there, but it will be my 2nd meeting as I was lucky enough to go to V8 Supercars in Abu Dhabi. May be a little colder!

If last year is anything to go by, there will be on the msvr site at around midday Friday before the event!

I will log in for the first time since 30th November 2009 to give you fair warning (westfieldbend) that I may yet barge you out of the way to get to my/our spot!!! Rally - Britcar - Rally - Britcar??, it`s a bit up in the air at the moment but I could well be Brands-ing after all.

The inside of druids (or should it be hailwood hill) OPPOSITE our usual spot, is the new spot as it is much better (even though I gather the said SUPERfence is yet to be put up)

that's a bit on the small side for Britcar isn't it, or is the 1st round always on the sparse side?
Combine GT & Prod into 1 grid and it still feels a bit light.

Shame, I was planning to come down (as a fan).

hmmm... that entry does seem to be a bit small, compared to the 'into the night at least', oh well, nice to see (well on the list at least!) at least one Mosler and the Ultima in the GT class, as well as the Ford Mustang in the production class. The Britsports list is a lot bigger than the winter series 'test' in November last year.

Weather is (could be) 7 and showers...The good thing about riding motorbikes at this time of the year is you don't have worry about bringing warm clothes - you're wearing them! I did this meeting a few years back and the entry was, quite frankly, pathetic! Roll on 750 MC!

Entry is a little on the low side, but of good quality - better then British GT's last year. PROVIDED that everyone turns up, which unfortunately I do not expect with britcar.......

Thoughts are - 'britsports' grid is way bigger then expected, thought we only had double figures at the end of last year as it was an end of season thing (but then this could be because its a start of season thing!). 'GT' and 'Production' could be combined to make full grid with twice the amount of track time.....

The entry does not look great, maybe it will grow before the weekend, but I suspect Westie Bend is right and there will be a few no shows.
Did consider 750MC at Snet but there are a few weak race there too!

Lets be honest, if each grid grows by 20% from what was published yesterday, it'll only be approaching reasonable.
I'm going to treat it as a gentle easing into the 2010 Brands season, it's just a short little one day meeting in the chill of early spring, a gentle reminder that for a large number of us the races in the winter sun courtesy of BARC are behind us again for a while.

roll err.. bring on DMN at the end of the month!

We won't be there for this weekend, too far for a one dayer. We'll be there at the end of the month though, 'tis KK's birthday weekend so I suspect we may make a little trip to the Kentagon!

First none RallyX meeting of the year for me. shame about the entry, but as Lydden proved, small entry with good racing can still produce a good meeting.

.....if it wasnt too bloody far would go to Snetterton also mind.
