HrRACING should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BTRDA Wildtracks 14th August

13 Days to go...and who is going?

I think I will be now, entry going off tomorrow.
I know that quite a few stockhatchs won't be going, but there are plenty of them so hopefully the entry wont be too small. Spoke to Kate today and she said she had got 6 enteries to date. Hope we can get enough people for the meeting to run.

I know Chris Bellamy is planning to unlease the now hopefully sorted, rebuilt Turboed 206! No idea on any other mods!?!

Entry has been sent and I will defo be ready to race.

Car is still in pieces (again) whilst we change the clutch and finish the repairs from pembury, but the work will be finished in time.

Heard on the grapevine that entry numbers are low. I hope they don't have to cancel the meeting, although I do know that the minimum is 40 odd cars to break even apparently.

No wonder tho, its at Wildtracks which nobody likes, right between Pembrey and Lydden and also its not really in the clubman scheme of things to have four events in two months to pay for is it!?!

I'm off to the autograss nationals as of thursday night, so won't know about Wildtracks till Monday at the earliest. Car is ready anyhow!!

i am not surprised. A scottish shatch driver spoke with one of the driver reps, he was told the circuit has been thrown off the british champs calendar for next year. After investing tha money and no events i am sure it is another upset circuit owner.

As I posted on the other forum it is cancelled due to lack of entries. So the next BRDA event is Lydden.

Is this true.
Personally don't think it should have been on the calendar in the first place.

I would say that whoever invested all that money in Wildtracks did not do their research very well. If there was a lot of money to be made in rallycross all the main UK circuits would have one. I can not think of any UK rallycross venue that does not get revenue from other forms of motorsport.
Yes I know we all have to start somewhere.

All these cancelled meetings are becoming more than a little embarrassing for the sport. Surely its up to the organisers to plan ahead and MAKE SURE that they can get enough entries - or not promote that particular track in the first place!

Perhaps the MSA should refuse to licence extra fixtures unless an organiser can shown there is a demand or that existing fixtures are oversubscribed? Cancellations do nothing for the credibility of the sport - particularly when those cancellations are not even officially reported to drivers and fans...

Bucko: its cancelled

We haven't had that many cancellations this year.
1st one was winter series...... nuff said (hate being cold!!!!) I don't "do" winter series. That was a disaster letting people know as well. Even made it into MSN
2nd at the favourite track of lots of drivers (sorry about the sarcasm) At least there is a bit more notice (I know not much but its getting better!!!)
Can't think of any more
Not bad............surely????
