Hello! I did some research about my fathers (N-G Wiik) BMW and then I found this site. It's nice to see that these cars still interest people!

M. Wiik: We Finnish readers are also waiting for your information about Nicke's cars (635 and maybe Bächi's M1 also). Never gathered enough courage to visit your dad's gas station and ask about those fantastic BMWs.

Have thousands of photos, but the only problem is that I haven't got a scanner...
Nicke's BMW 320 is for sale at Guikas GTC, Marseille FRA. The cars look is restored to what it looked like before Nicke bought it. Link below: http://www.collection-cars-sales.com...ile.php?id=708 The 635 Schnitzer was owned by Veho and Nicke only drove 4-5 Finnish group A races with it. Haven't got any knowledge about where the car is today. The last we've heard is that Bächi's Sauber M1 is today at the Sauber Museum (Switzerland?). The previous owner, Kari Mäkelä, has some pics of the car on his companys website (Mäkelä Auto Tuning) www.mat.fi. The M1 pictures are nr. 106 and 120) on the main page. There are also pics of Nicke's 320 (nr. 119). Zep: Pay a visit, maybe Nicke can help you with your questions. |

Ian Grey 320
I am 99% sure Ian Grey never took his 320 to Australia. It was in Malaysia and eventually in Indonesia.
The Gp 5 320 at Minuch Legends is actually a Gp 5 CSL. Alex |

Talking of e21's, please can someone help me find details of the rear aero used by TWR on the County Championship cars?
I am putting together a replica and although I have the front spoiler, the rear one eludes me. I am wondering if it bares more than a passing resemblance to a CSL aero? Any help or photos/diagrams would be much appreciated. |

To shortcut go to http://www.speedwest.net/ a great West Aus motorsport site for enthusiasts & ask . The only photo I've ever seen is on that site. The car was orange with JPS insignia in one of its appearances. |

Grey ran the BMW here in the west.
Will have to get dad to dig out an image of the beast. (sadly i was 1 and a little bit at the time so have no memories of it other then in slide and B&W film She was a nice little beast from what I remember. I think it had more then one trip here. We also have to remember this was the period of time when Wardy and Basil sent there cars to malaysia. So I think it was a bit of a thank you from Ian. Ray |

According to a former friend of Ian Grey, in the early days, when he owned the 320, he raced the car in Malaysia, Australia and Indonesia in the mid 80´s. Later he did only local races in Malaysia. In general, information of this period are very rare. Would be nice, if somebody could bring some light into it.
The results on www.terrywalkersplace.com more or less prove, that Ian Grey raced the car in Australia in 1984 and 1985. Attached is the only picture I found of the car in red with JPS decal, which must have been in 1984. |

There's a few short glimpses of a very low line 320 E21 starting from 4:26 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdF0IijTwIg
Results for the 1983 Suzuka 1000 km can be found here: http://wspr-racing.com/wspr/results/...spc1984.html#3 ..telling it was likely a Hong Kong based car. Jesper |

You can see those two BMWs in here also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGthWRvgQZI The 3rd, blue, BMW which is racing on that video, is most likely the same as here: http://personal.inet.fi/surf/mpuumal...ights_91_1.htm Tuisku sold his car to Helge Snabb who then sold it forward to Saku Vierimaa after getting ex Bächi Opel Manta what must have been before season 1986, since then Tuisku was driving in group A and Snabb allready had the Manta. I don't have an idea of the livery of the BMW while it was in Snabb's or Vierimaa's garage. From Vierimaa that car found its way to John K. Westman, as did the Vesenterä's car too. Also I can't say for sure which one (ex-Vesenterä or ex-Urpiala) was the car John K raced as "Commodore BMW". I assume it was the one of Vesenterä had. So now I assume that silver-blue car should be the one which then found its way to Vesenterä's garage sometime late 80s or 1990 at the latest. |

The red beast at the front is the IMSA Camaro which Robert Lappalainen brought from USA. It was too much to handle for the 1.5 litre Schnitzer engine. That other BMW seems to be Simonsen and the Camaro at the 4th place is Peter Norlander's. A very powerful and fast car also.
