Ah that'll be the one MiniMM had a photo of. A friend of his is one of the mechanics, it was a real mess.

I thought it was only introduced last year or is it the same as the old battenburg flag introduced in 2001 and dropped a few years later due to hardly anyone actually taking any notice of it.

Ok. I'll try and get down early morning if I can. They're was already some teams going when I was leaving including the stunning (even got my binoculars out) above mentioned Group A Audi.Going to be good with 2 R32 GTRs amongst others.

Liked reading a bit about a tenther who owns a very nice Aston V8 in the programme today .

Introduced a while back I think in its current form. Think Creventic were one the first to use it.

Was a bit odd that during code 60 the difference in laptimes was about 20 seconds.Odd

Big moment for the 78 Jag going into paddock.Looked completely sideways.I wonder who that may be . Great variety in Future Classics. Although both Skylines seemed to have problems. The Kennedy one looked fantastic.

Qualified 25th out of 35 cars, I started & got up to 15th with a 57.7 but started to get brake fade so pitted early. Daniel suffered brake failure at Druids & luckily didn’t sustain much damage. It’s definitely got the right half of the engine as it has the legs on my V12, just need to sort the brakes & I need to lose weight as my romper suit seems to have shrunk somewhat!

Glad you guys are ok and that the car is not badly damaged, the shunt into the barriers at Druids looked pretty horrendous from 50 yards away. Looks as though the Capri followed suit a couple of laps later presumably for the same reason as it went straight on at pretty much unabated speed into the barrier. Very hot out there today for brakes, tyres and not least the drivers!

Despite being a member of, and massive advocate of, CSCC, I do wonder why the Audi V8 is at Brands and not at Oulton in the Gold Cup touring car race, for which it must surely qualify, and would do well?

Also the 2 Nissan Skylines aswell. Probably more local maybe along with it having a better chance of winning maybe.

The Dunlop Saloon Car Cup covers a period from 1967 to 2006, and has an invitation class for ‘Cars of Historic Interest accepted at the organisers discretion’. I would guess it was therefore the owners choosing to do Brands.....

Yup, happens. I would think the only reason to stop them being allowed would be if the performance difference was too great.

Love the Audi......

The incident with Cliffs Jag at Paddock from a following car.

Change of underwear required immediately I imagine.

Pretty incredible to avoid barriers.

Thanks for posting that video as it may help us work out what happened to the brakes, as it looks like the rear may have locked up first.

It’s not my car, but it looks like I came close to buying it
