Hey guys, if you watch this exciting finish at Darlington. Bristol is much more exciting with the fastest short track in the country next week. Tempers will flare.

The LADY did bring us a great race with a great finish.
Bring on Bristol. Racing the way it should be. BTW--- did ya'all know that it will be the 2000th NASCAR race??? Hows that for history!!! 2000!!! |

According to That's Racin', Bristol was indeed the 2000th Grand National (pre-1972)/Winston Cup race. They even did a number of articles leading up to it.

There's alot of controversy as to how many races. There were a few early races that "didn't count". But several experts (& I am NOT talking about self proclaimed ones) concluded that Bristol was the 2000th race. NASCAR confirmed it. It was announced & celebrated. At Bristol.
