Gerryl should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone know where I could get a copy of the 1965 Indy 500? Jim Clark was the man then. Highlights would even do. so far my attempts have drawn blank. It was my first time being at a race and I would deeply like to relive the moment hope someone can help out

Gerry, I see that you are in Ireland and I know of several places that sell this tape in VHS format in the U.S. but I am not sure that they ship outside the U.S. You probably use PAL format anyway right?

There was a company called "Front Runner", which I think was a part of K-Tel used to do a tape of that era of Indy. If I remember rightly, it was called something like "The British Invasion", and looked at 1963-1966. Trouble is, I haven't seen a Front Runner video for about 5 years, but maybe if you try some of the video stockists, there might be one still lurking around.

Be warned - I haven't seen the tape, so I can't vouch for the content. But their history of GP racing one was pretty good.

Thanks Joe Fan, my VCR can play US Tapes-Ntsc or something like that right? Having lived in the US for some time we gathered quite a lot of US Format VHS tapes so getting a dual player was a must. IF you could let me know the US addresses where I might be successful that would be great. TimD I've tried getting anything from this era and its difficult to get anything thats decent. I will do a search on "The British Invasion" though Thanks.

Gerryl, the second link (Dick Wallen's) that I provided should not have had a space between the wallen and .htm

Dick Wallen has a tape called "Rear Engine Invasion" that has various races from 63-65 that do include the Indy 500 and I believe Jim's first Indy Car win at Milwaukee. However, the first link's tape is cheaper and appears to be more concentrated with Jim Clark video. Let me know if they can ship it to you and if it is any good. I might purchase it myself.
