Sini wins race1:first victory for the Chevy Camaro.2nd Baldan and 3rd Mercatali.Big crash at the start between Mugelli and Stancheris.Kostka punished with a drive-through (actually I don't know why,maybe because of the crash at the start)

amazing last 2 laps in race2,Audi's drivers had an incredible fight for the 1st position!
Kostka wins ahead of Stancheris and Dionisio;4th Sini,Baldan retired incredible fight between Kostka,Stancheris and Dionisio,really spectacular |

Those last 2 laps must have aged the team owner a good 10 years. There were several points where I thought it was going to end up with some broken cars and a surprise winner.

Emanuele Zonzini replaces Stancheris for the final 3 rounds at Audi Sport Italia. Renaud Kuppens is expected to join the grid with a BMW M3 of Scuderia Giudici |

Well that race was a bit of a disaster... 12 cars starting, 7 still running after the first lap, 5 at the finish. I really hope the series can get back on its feet next year, maybe it's time to introduce a second division, why not TC3 ( call it "Euro-Turbo")?

I'm happy for Sini but sad for the championship.
Maybe the 2014 season has been the last for this series (Superstars or EuroV8).I remember the first time I watched a Superstars race live was in 2010 at Vallelunga and it was absolutely amazing:33 cars,10 brands,a lot of teams,high profile drivers (Giovanardi,Larini,Rangoni,Biagi,Morbidelli,Herbert etc. etc.) and a lot of people on the grandstands.I went to Vallelunga again in 2011 and 2012,the last time was spectacular,a huge amount of fans everywhere.But in the 2013 season started the decline and this year we have watched a ghost of the past championhips.Introducing new classes or a new format or new technical rules is useless without money.In this moment there isn't money. I wonder what will happen next year. |
