Don't know. Google has given me nothing.
They're a great little team though, a small independent winning GT2 in the LMS. As a result they are running with Dunlop sponsorship this year. Small privateers like them are the lifeblood of sportscar racing and what make it so great |

Team is owned by Chris Warne according to Autosport directory, backing is from Jim MacWhirter who did some Ferrari owners club racing a few years ago. Their first season in international racing was 2006 when Tim Sugden was brought in along with Dunlop. Reports of their LMS races that year on Sugden's website tell the story of how the team developed that season but he did not continue in 2007 due to GruppeM commitments I believe, his loss really

Another thing just recalled from a DSC report, "Doc" Steve Bunkhall joined Virgo part way through 2006 as engineer, he was with GruppeM in 2005

I think I'm right in saying that there only about 4 or 5 full time team members. The rest are "weekend warriors". Quite a stunning job they're doing. |

It was a shame the commentators missed the last part of Spa because of their non vital chattering, the final margin was 2 tenths and the Porsche was deperate to get past the Virgo car but did not make it. In the queue behind the pace car #95 with Sugden in was two cars ahead and stepped smartly aside as they came out of the bus stop to give them a clear run and they really had a go, shown on screen but not commented on. Very close finish, It will be their first time at LM and they stand a real chance of a win

There was plenty of discussion of the final laps of the GT2 battle on the Radio Le Mans commentary, including cursing of the tv feed covering to Pug pottering around the last lap instead.

is Virgo having some support from Ferrari, Gimmi Bruni is a factory Ferrari drive now ?
for Le Mans, yes it will be awsome to see them winning GT2, but I think that both factory backed Ferrari team are stronger ! |
