Performance adjustment figures of Jim Gainer(#11) was changed.
Because the performance of 458GTC engine was not able to be demonstrated with small restrictor, instead, weight was added. Former performance adjustment figures: 1,245kg/ 26.3mm*2/ +50kg(=1,295kg) New performance adjustment figures: 1,245kg/ 26.8mm*2/ +100kg(=1,345kg) Because weight handicap(success weight, 90kg) is added, the gross weigh in the SUGO round becomes 1,435kg(!). *Weight of Ferrari 458 Italia is 1,380kg http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=35130 |

Gotta play fair. They'll drop the weight when they're not as fast. HSV seems to do well with additional weight.

Melvin Choo will be absent from SUGO round.
Instead, Naoki Yokomizo will drive for Thunder Asia(#69). http://ameblo.jp/ma-yanagida/entry-10966049143.html http://www.naokiyokomizo.com/blog/?p=98 |

AUTOSPORT's Suzuka test report
*Lexus compared 2010 spec front sections with 2011 specs. A certain Lexus driver says that 2010 specs are more controllable. Team Tom's says that it will choose 2011 specs for SUGO round. However, some teams (#6?, #38?) might choose 2010 specs. *Lexus tried a front bumper with the canard shape like that of HSV-010 (You can check it out.). http://www.as-books.jp/book-view/sam...w/bookNum/331/ |

*Garaiya is equipped with the new front bumper and the bonnet-louvers on the tire house.
According to AUTOSPORT, In Suzuka test, GTA tested the restrictor of GT500 (bigger) size to IS350 (JAF-GT300). At the next season, GTA wants to make the FIA-GT3 car run by nearly the same condition as BOP by FIA. This is a good policy to gather entrants. |

Honda says that the aerodynamic character of the nose shape of SC430 is more excellent than that of HSV-010.

ARTA HSV-010 DEAD LAST. Not that I'm surprised but I expected a little bit more
Seems like not even rain can save this once great team. What's next for Aguri? Try another inexperienced boy from Formula 3, next year? I imagine Ralph Firman must be laughing his head off! On another note, if it stays wet for the race the bridgestone camp have no chance, it seems. How is the wheather looking for tomorrows race? PS: sorry about the little ARTA rant. I guess I still can't get over the fact they dumped the driver that most contributed to the team's success for the past few years. Last edited by BBSB; 30 Jul 2011 at 15:03. |

I believe Firman drove the Luxury Racing Ferrari at Imola in the ILMC round, other than that I have not heard much from him.

Mutoh couldn't attack for traffic in Qualifying round.
Mutoh and Kobayashi need GT experiencing. W-rookie policy of ARTA was a failure. |

GTA announced that it maintained present GT500 regulations until 2012, and shifted to a new regulation in 2013 at press conference.
2013 regulations are still undecided. A journalist questioned whether it was possible to participate in GT500 class with the 2012 spec DTM car next year. Bandoh answered the entry would be accepted though the performance would be adjusted. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=35263 |

At press conference,
Bandoh said that FIA-GT3 cars would become the main car of the GT300 class after 2012. He said that a minimum performance tuning was necessary to keep the balance of the JAF-GT300 car and the FIA-GT3 car. However, the restrictor size of the FIA-GT3 car will be expanded and it become near the size of BOP by FIA. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=35262 |

Seeing as GT3 will become the main car in GT300, one can assume they are sticking to FIA/ratel also for GT500 after 2013? Question is with what since GT1 looks to be fading out in favour of just GT3? |

To be significantly faster than GT3 they'll need similar regs to GT500/DTM.

I really don't think the organizers would give up the 'soul' of Super GT by doing away with the current GT500 regs and going with GT1, it'd kill the excitement of it IMO.
