Pro Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
the replacement factory Holden team?

merge if you want but i thought keep this seperate to the HRT ceared thread.

if Skaife Sports was excluded from the championship i think the 10 year contract to be the factory team will be gone, so who would replace Skaife Sport as the official factory team who would get the contract to adorn the Holden name.

Toll HSVDT - probably has the closest links to Holden of all the other teams.

Tasman - the only team without a naming rights sponser and could probably take the name on from this point in the season and Ron Harrop used to be in good with Holden

PWR - looks likely SCA will be gone at seasons end so could take the name on in 2008.

Perkins - with the JD contract and 2 rookies in the car i think it would be unlikely.

GRM - need a replacement for repco.

RNR - probably not.

PMM - doubt it, holden would be thick to do this.

new owners of the licences Skaife Sport owned - easiest option but would depend on who owned them.

all this presuming Skaife Sport is kicked out, but even if they are not it would be interesting to see who could replace them as official factory team if Holden decided on a change.

Considering no team is based at Fishermans Bend (not even HRT), it's hardly a 'factory team', much more a 'works' team.

Anyway there's little doubt in the highly unlikely scenario that HRT were booted, that HSVDT would just be the #1 Holden-backed team....

Yes but if Skaife sports got booted, would Holden want to deal with Walkinshaw again with TOLL HSV?

Why wouldn't they want to deal with him again?? Holden would have been the one's pushing for Walkinshaw's return in the first place.

Weren't Holden the ones wanting Walkinshaw to return??

I would suggest that The Kelly's have the most to gain if HRT is removed from the series. However I really doubt that HRT will be booted. There will be an agreement.

TEGA didn't have the balls in 2003 to do anything about HRT and KMART with Holden having ownership, so why would they suddenly grow balls and be all hard on Skaife Sports??

and if they do grow balls they are likely to get kicked and TEGA will go squicky again and shut up and let everything fly, i am a Holden fan but i do want an even playing field.

Holden were wanting Snappy Tom to come back they were more than happy to have him back.

I think the logical desion would be Toll HSVDT. If it did happen, would HSVDT be called the Toll Holden Dealer Team? If Toll doesn't get the call up because of the Walkinshaw Performance and HSV factor because HSV and WP are not officaly Holden, just performance and modifying arms like FPV, Prodrive and Ford, Holden should go with SCAR or GRM.
