All times can be found here
http://www.fiagt.com/downloads.php The Nissan was bit quicker than the Ford, but there is a gap of more than 4 seconds to the tests best time. |

Both of the timing pages list the #2 Vitaphone car as being a Saleen. Mistake I assume? Or did they dig out their 2004 car? |

Main thing to note here is that the GT-R weighs 1350 kg. That's down from 1700+ for the road car.
The regs seem to state the minimum is 1250. The engine is derived from the Super GT V8 which (I think) is the R391 unit (that was in turn an enlarged IRL unit). The gearbox also seems to be the same as the Super GT - JGTC car. |

The current Super GT engine is a VK engine, the R391 was a VH. Doubt there's any relation.
The GT-R uses a 5.5l version of the VK (compared to 4.5l in the SGT car), and the engine code (VK56DE, at least according to the endurance-info article) matches the one used in Nissan's 4x4 cars. |

What's really surprising to me is the pathetic coverage the FIA-GT website has given the test days. With the interest expressed on some of these Forums, you would think they would cover the event to list times, drivers, etc. The LMS site and ALMS sites do a much better job covering their test days, that's for sure.

Does anyone know if the Corvette being run by PK Carsport in the FIA GT this year is chassis number 01 or 05?

Autoblog is reporting (not unsurprisingly) that Lambo's new GT1 car will be based upon the new Murcielago LP670 SV.

Finally, a very brief article on FIA-GT web site about the test day results. Not very informative at that.

Looks like JDD is selling #01 and so PK must be running #05 this year. So we have 7 of 8 C6.Rs still in action this year!
