There is a rumor that Nissan's development car (#230) carried over the old monocoque made in 2014.
Nissan couldn't afford to buy new monocoque for development car. This indicates a small amount of Nissan's motorsport budget. |

I think the Renault relationship is hurting this. Renault is ramping up it's efforts for the F1 team while the rest of their partnership's motorsports are left with crumbs unless it's Formula E (yawn).

Tsutomu Tojo (Team Tom's engineer) Sepang tire test report He applauses Bridgestone tire. Road surface temperature was max 55 degree. Yuichi Nakayama made 20 laps long run by full-tank. Despite he marked a best lap in final lap. In Sepang, when the best time comes out on lap two or three, it is usual that the time falls afterwards. Therefore, the durability of the new BS tire is extremely excellent. |

Setting the best lap at the end of a 20 lap run on a 55 degree track is simply remarkable.
With the black magic wizardry shown currently in GT500 and previously in Formula 1, I'm surprised that Bridgestone hasn't ever had a proper go at an ACO championship or even Le Mans. The 2019/20 season would have been the perfect time for them to partner with Toyota: there will be no other works competitor and it would give them a chance to acquire track data (particularly crucial for Sebring and Le Mans) ahead of putting in a bid to be the tyre supplier of the new regulations the following season. Plus, a Japanese car on Japanese tyres winning Le Mans and the World Championship... |

Hopefully the new Vantage GT3 won't be disadvantaged too much by the BoP. |

To wrap them up, Super GT website publishes official 2019 entry. Just 4 teams left in GT300 without not-announced-yet driver lineups, and several teams still with TBA entry names.

For some reason this series does something for them. There must be something somewhere that appeals to them. Hence why they are joining NISMO in 'their' series
