He'll qualify in the high teens / low 20s.

Well, the team he's driving for has had the most reliability issues so far of any team this season (sound familiar?). Knowing is luck, I could see him having a problem like Marco at Barber and not be able to take the start. Or be involved in an accident of someone else's fault in the first 10 laps or so.

I hope he does well, though. I'm excited about it. Really hope he enjoys his time over here and tries a few seasons full time of Indycar and also does the IMSA WSC eventually as well. Seeing guys enjoying themselves more after leaving F1 like Montoya did is fun to see.

Although Alonso's quest for the 500 is on track, it doesn't look like an attempt at Le Mans next year will be forthcoming.

For me it meant I didn't just read Indycar race reports in Autosport I could watch the races on telly. Eventually live too.

Mclaren furnish ECU's for NASCAR IIRC. He can have his pick of teams. And Young Earnhardt is retiring so a plumb spot at Hendrick's will soon be becoming availabull.

He'd have to sign up with Porsche or Toyota. They may oblige him. It's not impossible. I don't see Penske winning overall at LeMans though.
