If I understand JB's interview right, dtm tyres are not a challenge for the driver and allow hitting the gas without any cautions, while GT500 ones need more gentle style, so, GT500 requires higher driver standards all in all.

Quintarelli didn't do either Hockenheim weekend in German F3 in 2001, not that it would matter because they were both different track configurations. FVW didn't race at Hockenheim in 2002 period. So he's never raced there, but as I alluded to any time before the renovation in 2002 would be almost useless anyways.

That's funny about the wheel wells. I actually think it looks better this way though. The MR design with the DTM type rules made it look weird imo.

Looks like just a "marketing speech" for some dtm fans who are fed with news of that sort out of Berger's mouth quite regularly. Jet ignition? Engine development? Aero development? Tyre wars? Or is Herr Gass talking about special Audi Class 1 plus alpha?
