Bentley Le Mans cars

Does anyone know what happened to those achingly beautiful Bentleys from the early 2000's?

pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Unfortunately they're probably sat in a Bentley factory somewhere. Shame. Beautiful cars.....shame nothing became of that rumour about Taisan wanting to run them.

At least one is with a collector - another has run infrequently as a two seater for Bentley customer hospitality sessions (Guy Smith was out on one of those about 3 weeks ago)

Hmmm, how do I get myself invited to a customer hospitality thing without having to buy a pile of new Bentleys??

RTN build the chassis by themselves.

So that's why they built them!

Because obviously they didn't build them to go racing.

The Bentley in the hands of a US collector joins two Audi R8Rs, a couple (at least) of Porsche 956/962s, three Ferrari 333 SPs, and more. Some of these are LeMans winners. The owner is a businessman, originally from the UK, who has recently faced massive financial and legal problems (massive in this case is close to have a Billion US Dollars). It is likely that all these cars will be tied up for years and year.

Maybe he will be forced to sell them (bankrupt stock auction???) - so they might work their way in to the hands of somebody who will use them (Japan?)

With the ACO change of regs, would they even be able to participate anymore?

Man, talk about hedging your bets. I understand his firm was rather well placed in the art world, too. That's an awful lot of investment outside their core business.
