CAR 42 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
They seek him here
They seek him there
But no one know's where or who he is
Is this one of life's strange misterys who is this man even 4 people from 10 tenth's couldn't find him even after asking lot's of other marshals ???????????????

plus when you send e-mail's to said person with attached picture's of one's mini they get bounced back

Does this man work for the C.I.A OR MI5 we don't know
DO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or is he just one of the many unsung hero's that make our life safer when us mad people go racing and have little off's at various times

P.S Just like to say hi to ????? bugger forgot there names
Lee I am pretty **** with names remind me
any way nice meeting you may see you at silverstone night race. ??

Well, I for one refuse to believe that Dan Friel exists until proven otherwise
Why else does no other marshall know who the hell he is?
And why, no matter where you look, there is no-one in a cricket hat...?

"They seek him here..."

And it was great to meet you, Rick - the name's Maisie (Maria, actually, Lee! ), and my other half is Chris.

Believe it or not I have seen him and his green hat.
At Thruxton a couple of weeks ago the bugger kept standing in my way at the complex when I was trying to take some photos.

Where were you at Combe today Dan ?? If you were there

Are you talking to me??

Not the CIA just Hants County Council. which isn't quite so exciting really...

Was at the startline at Combe yesterday (no Car 42 on the grid!!, typical).. cricket hat was left in the garage, sorry.. but shall be worn the rest of the season!! Shall be at Thruxton for BOSS, Goodwood and 2 day meeting at Combe - and that's it (thanks to my girlfriends graduation..)

I can confirm that I shall be at Post 8 at Goodwood for the entire weekend!!!

E-mails... try my private one at dfriel2@yahoo.com

(Won the Castle Combe crash video at the marshals draw yesterday.. excellent viewing)

For those of you in any doubt, having stood on the bank next to him many times, Dan does exist.

By the way, was it a good day at Coombe yesterday, I wasn't their as I was still recovering from exertions at the Sportscar World cup meeting at Donnington.

And who won the Coombe GT's?

Combe was a bit indifferent, 1.5 hours of Radicals was desperate stuff... even in the pit lane with refuelling going on..

Combe GT's had 31 entries!!!! Inculding Mr Chatfield in a Harrier GT1 car, and a Harrier WSC C2 car driven by Mr Coen.. awesome cars.. Krayem went off at Folly when his rear wing failed, managed to spin across the in field and ended up at Avon Rise.. lucky chap. There were two Jades present also, took Bob a couple of laps to get past... then won easily. But this is a great series now...

See you at Goodwood Jon!!!

Well that didn't chuffing work..... it was supposed to be one of Jeffs photos. A rolled eurocar with me stading next to it holding a fire bottle... also with 'Marshal' on the scene.

Please help some one!!!

So how'd you manage that??? When all I got was a square with a red cross in it!!! I'm useless...

The guy helping the dizzy driver out is a Mr Clark, lock up your daughters!!!!

'Marshal' is running towards the car on the right....

It was an excellent roll, very dramatic!!

Dead easy - you posted a link to a thumbnail image, which somehow didn't work, whereas I got to the full-size image, then right-clicked and looked at the properties to get its URL. I don't know whether you know the UBB code for posting pictures, but I'll stick it in here for the benefit of anyone else who's wondering how. Use square brackets and the following syntax:

[ img]yourURLhere[/ img] - don't forget to use small letters for the img bits, and take out the spaces between the brackets and the img when posting for real.

I've also found when posting more than 1 image per post, sometimes the board software decides I've put too many images in and inserts the control code for a space into one of the URLs. I don't know why it does that (Graham never seems to have a problem!!), but the only solution I've found is to just post the offending pics in another post.

Hope that's helpful.

Yep, that's me in the RAC overall's, I'm the one who isn't helping the driver, just sort of standing around looking interested!

It was a very good roll as Dan said, the best bit being the driver was fine, as was the car, and the combiation went on to win later in the day I think!

When I post a lot of pics, I write the code out in Notepad then paste it in. Dunno whether it helps but I find it easier than writing it all out in that box on the post message screen.

BTW : Dan, that could be anyone in the cap. The All Classes community deems it necessary for you to get 'Dan Friel' tattooed onto your forehead and at the next meeting you should be photographed in your birthday suit singing Auld Lang Syne at full volume standing on the tyre wall. Nothing else will suffice.

My next meeting is at Thruxton... and its highly likely that I'll be at Post 15 (way out the back and very near the local church), so that may not go down too well during the break for the church service - and the local Hampshire wildlife may get a rather nasty shock also...

Get your long lenses out folks!!!
