just seen duval's crash. the bodywork has completely crushed the co'drivers side. good luck to everyone else and loeb especially !

Duval fine.. co driver was criticial but stable now. Will be in hospital for a month

That's another Ford that's ended up heavily damaged - is it conicidence or is the Focus not as strong as it should be? I know side impacts are difficult to counter and the frontal impacts are the more common but is there something that Ford need to address here?

Bert, easy to target them when there are 3x as many of them racing.

Didn't look as bad as Atkinson's hit in Japan last year (or was that 2006?)

Yep, that's a fair point - if anythings going to take a hit chances are it'll be a Ford

also the crash looked as if it was square on the sill, below the doorbars so it would have no support from the roll cage

After Gigi's crash Christian Loriaux pointed out that they put in an extra bar along the door sill. Not sure if the other teams followed suit, but I hate to think how bad it might be with out it.

I think the car may have also had the new seat fitted too.
