Here are the "Pick 'Em" Results from This Week:

Qualifying:

GP Racer picked the Pole Winner (Kanaan)

Tim N. was closest to the Pole Speed

Actual: 215.817
Tim N: 213.497

GP Race & marcus picked four of the top six, with GP Racer having Kanaan in the proper place..

Tim N., DownF0rce & Marcus had Takagi as the slowest qualifier..

GP Racer & Marcus had two of the three engine maker top qualifiers as well...NOTE: I credited Marcus with Castroneves, because his actual qualifying speed was 2nd best overall...and that is what the pick entails...but I would have counted Dixon as well if anyone had picked him...

Totals after qualifying:

1. GP Racer -- 11 pts.
2. Marcus -- 10 pts.
3. Down F0rce -- 7 pts.
4. Tim N. -- 7 pts.

Now for the Race:

Marcus & Down F0rce both had the correct winner (Rice)

GP Racer, Down F0rce and Marcus all had 4 of the Top Five....

Marcus that the top three correct and in order and Down F0rce had the top two in order...GP Racer and Tim N. picked one driver in the correct spot each...

No one had Manning with the fastest lap...

Tim N. was closest to the Fast Lap speed.

Down F0rce picked three of the four Milestone leaders and Marcus picked two of them...Tim N. and GP Racer had one each.

No one had Franchitti as the 1st (and only) car out...

No one had Castroneves as the "best Mover" - 20th to 10th

Marcus had Matsuura as the "Fall From Grace" - 2nd to 17th

and GP Racer was closest to the average speed of the race by just 3/10th of a mph.

Total Combined Points for this Race:

Marcus won the Contest with a great showing!!!!

1. Marcus -- 25 pts.
2 (tie) GP Racer -- 21 pts.
Down F0rce -- 21 pts.
3. Tim N. -- 17 pts.

I'll post the Season Standings in my next post...

Next Race: Belterra Casino 300 at Kentucky Speedway...

I'll be there!!!

25 rows up....close to the finish line!!!!

Good Luck on August 15th!!!!

Very impressive fella's! We scored alot of points on this one.

Man, only 3/10ths of a second off on the average speed? 3/10ths!? That deserves an extra point or 2, don't you think?

That new Indy 500 TagHeuer watch I got is really paying off, wouldn't you agree? Ummm, I did tell you guys about my new watch, didn't I?

Sorry for the confusion....

Actually, GP's pick was 11.1 mph off the actual avg. speed, and Marcus missed it by 11.4 mph....

So the difference between the two of you was 3/10ths....

Maybe you need to wind that watch.....

Now that Toyota and Chevy have improved their power (Scheckter & Bell were quick this weekend anyway)we really have an even more competitive outlook than we had before...

Kentucky is going to be very tough to pick....
