The 1994 Simtek is another beautiful vehicle, painted in a lovely deep shade of blue. Sadly the sponsors stickers ruined the effect somewhat, and it was the vehicle that took Ratzenberger to his death, but it's still a beautiful car in my opinion.

The 1991 McLaren was another magnificently well proportioned car, the dimensions are perfect. Slicks, sparks, McLaren, Honda and Senna.

No thread on beautiful cars is complete without the magnificent AAR-Weslake Eagle, piloted by none other than Dan Gurney.

The Louts 72 has to be up there- maybe it's because it's one of the first F1 cars I remember from when I was a child, but even now it's just the definitive F1 car to me.....
How about John Barnard's Ferrari 640? (OK, the pics are of a model, but there are a couple of Alesi's cars down the page to keep DNQ happy....)http://www.f1model.co.uk/ferrari.htm or (here's a controversial one given how awful it turned out to be) the lowline Brabham BT55- http://www.geocities.com/chasey_uk/BT55history.htm |

1982 Brabham BMW Turbo. Just gorgeous and I remember the noise from that engine, fully wound up for qualifying, heading out into the sweepers at Zandvoort as if it were yesterday. Just sensational.
1977 red Martini Brabham with that amazing Alfa V12. Now I'm crying. Apologies for not knowing type numbers. (BT52 and BT45)? Anyone know where I can get really superdupa pics of these? Also: 1982 stubby-nosed Williams FW08 (in fact almost anything from 1982 or 83 with fully decked-out trim towards season's end); 1989 McLaren; 1976/77&78 Ferraris. Only born in 1970 but pics of the Eagle, sharknose Ferrari and Maserati 250F speak for themselves. Pre-war, the Auto Unions always look particularly mouthwatering ... |

The 1982 JPS lotus 91. Best part: very round-shaped nose.
