GO FABIAN, GO BJR. really good to see them getting these results and speed of late. surely either Holden will chuck more cash at them or a new manufactuer will be knocking.

OH god... Channel Seriously have not filled me with confidence they are going to do any better than last year, we've led the coverage with the cast of 'The Living Room' interviewing a model. This is going to be a long weekend.

So what happened with Premat putting the car hard into the wall in race 1?

Mind you given theres zero tv coverage of the race 1, one might think it never even happened. And don't say the cameras were not running cos Ch10 have shown various clips of the race incl the end result of Premats prang on the various news updates etc....

Why does V8SC even bother turning up when A: its not a championship round and B: it doesnt even get decent coverage.

Or are they trying that hard to kiss Bernies ass?

Mr Premat tangled with another car, which speared him across the track, through the gravel, and into the wall.

It appeared that he did not operate the brakes after the collision.

They turn up because they get paid to.

It's also well known that many team's sponsors see substantial value from having their cars (and hospitality programmes) associated with the biggest motorsport event of the year (don't start the whole debate about that - it is. It's F1 for goodness sake).

I see the consistency is still there, Frosty gets a drive through (well 50s) for contact in pitlane, lowndes gets a 1 spot grid penalty!I reckon FPR would be right to feel a little aggrieved by that one.

Two different offences - Frosty was an unsafe release, Lowndes was a careless release. Clearly must be different grades of offence and different grades of penalty. Stewards summary here: http://www.v8supercars.com.au/news/s...park-challenge

I dont ever remember in v8s that a penalty of one grid spot has ever been given

Not sure either way although I think it might have been done before - maybe a row back rather than one spot.

Doesn't really matter what has happened in previous years though - the key will be them being consistent through this year. There's a new rule book and list of offences, penalties etc issued at the start of each year, lasts for that season only and that's the only time it applies.
