RIP Innovation and free thinking and we march towards a spec series no matter what is said by the FIA. Every year they make the rule restrictions tighter and tighter, no wonder Adrian Newey openly criticises the lack of free thinking allowed.

They are doing this because the aim of the rules is to make better racing and they need to close off anything that can make them fail to reach this aim. That doesn’t mean some can’t come up with their own individual idea within the rules
