Stewart's car impounded
Today Tony Stewart's primary car was impounded by NASCAR tech for undisclosed violations, but it seems that the car was outside the body templates. The body may not be located correctly on the chassis and NASCAR is keeping the car for further analysis. NASCAR has never just outright taken a car away from a driver and not allowed it to compete in this manner.
No other fines or punitive measures have been levied. |

Update:
Nascar's reasoning why Stewart's car was impounded because it didn't fit the common templates that it was required by Nascar for 2003's aero equal rules. |
