He's only going there for the first few rounds. Sweeney has released him from his contracts, Sweeney will continue to test the new Lola.

Keohane joins Promatecme for Donington F3
Michael Keohane will race with the Promatecme F3 team for the opening meeting of the 2003 British F3 Championship gripped by AVON Tyres. The Irish charger will join the team for the Donington Park weekend (April 5/6), running alongside the team's Scholarship class car of Christian England.

In order to give him the best chance of a strong points score in the opening pair of races, Keohane has been released from his Sweeney Racing contract for the event. Going into his second season in the Championship class, Keohane is determined to figure prominently in the battle for the title.

In a joint decision by the Sweeney Racing team and Keohane, he has been released from his contract for the first pair of races, allowing the team and Lola personnel to concentrate on the increasing competitiveness of the Lola-Dome F106 chassis.

"I see this as a positive move for everyone concerned," says Keohane. "It enables me to get points on the board from day one and allows the joint team resource to get fully behind one car and move forward more rapidly."

The Promatecme team, headed by Chris Weller, was a race winner last season with Bruce Jouanny and is now working flat out to provide Keohane with the very best chance of strong results in the Donington Park races

There is usually a clause about the team providing "competitive" equipment.

Well why leave? Its not like's going to get a haul of points with Promatecme. And if he does, why go back to Sweeny?

What will be shameful is if Viso outqualifies Carroll

Three concerns abouts Keo getting back to Sweeney:
1) Why should Promatecme purchase a car just to make keo run a couple of races?
2) Changing team and chassis just one week before the start of the season is generally a very risky operation: if Keo thinks that such an uncertain choice is better than staying with Lola, it means that, regardless of official quotes, He is deeply unsatisfied with his Lola, doesn't it?
3) If Keo is satisfied with his initial races at promatecme, why should he leave a secure situation to get back to a doubtful Lola?

Ok, JR, basically you're right
Anyways the car has been modified in aerodynamics and suspensions, thus despite the investment is not going to be as high, I suppose that the cost of the upgrading package to Dallara 2003 must be somewhat considerable, if used for only two events. (unless they run with F302, which is not likely for a prime driver)

I'm told that Sweeny Racing have called in the receivers so I'd expect Michael to stay at Prometecme all year now.

Is there any written report (that of Keo joining Promatecme was very fast to appear) or is it just rumors?
