You could try via his garage, if he still owns it - Cleland of Galashiels. I think it is or was a Volvo dealership.

Crikey, I can remember John hard charging like a lunatic as if it were yesterday. Reading the number 70 makes me think of grey haired old duffers in Nissan Micras!

I am also 70 & drive two Alfa's. Never driven a Nissan Micra.

Having passed the 70 mark a couple of years ago, and having raced an Alfa last year, and driven one as a road car for the last 20 or more years, I echo your sentiment.
