Race postponed in Texas due to G-forces

FYI:
Sunday's inaugural Cart race at Texas International Speedway was postponed due to safety reasons. Because of the track design, cars can carry a lot of speed through the corners causing high G- forces to be forced onto their bodies especially their heads. I thought I heard 5.2 G's as compared to 4.
Computer simulators guessed that track speeds would be less than actual speeds. TIS officials repeatedly asked Cart about the possibility of high speeds and even offered suggestions on how to slow the cars down, as far back as April.
All drivers attending a meeting on Saturday(?) agreed to experiencing some sort of discomfort due to high G-forces. Because of this the race was postponed Sunday morning(?). All drivers agreed that for safety sake the race should not be run under those conditions. And no quick, safe fix was available to slow the cars down.
TIS officials are upset about the last minute decision by CART but does agree that safety is #1. The reason for the last minute decision is that none of the drivers came forward to express the problems they were having driving on that track- nausea, unable to stand, tunnel vison, etc.
Noone is sure when the race will be rescheduled, but Texas is extremely hot in the summer. That's why the spring date was chosen.

I know some were asking about this story. Hope this helped.
