There're only some changes in exterior. New head lights.

Of course there are more changes than just headlights. I want to see what engine will be used and I suppose that a Renault powered 2-litre edition will be unveiled soon...
Thoughts about 2009 season |

I assume the Renault engine for the LADA is the same as the Dacia engine. Or not? |

I've talked about base car. I don't know what they're going to put into that body for REAL racing. In any case it won't be a touring car, but a proto. Look at its suspension. I've never saw anything like that 'McPherson' at the base car.
They can write all they want in their papers, but there're no suitable engines now. And what they are going to do in 2010 without turbo - nobody knows. |

I just mean that when Lada 21106 was unveiled in 1996, AvtoVAZ was very close to GM (don't forget the mpi units for the Samara/110/Niva and the 16V head of the engines of the 110 series which was developed in cooperation with GM), so an opel engine for the 21106 was a logical solution. That never meant a GM factory racing program.
Now according to the WTCC rules, Lada needs a 2-litre version for the Priora. Maybe they could use again the C20XE or another GM engine if they agree with GM, but I think that it would be more logical to use a Renault engine since a part of Lada belongs to Renault. Or they could use the VAZ 21203 engine I have shown before. But if the car will be raced in 2009, from the beginning, I think that we should see the road version of this soon |

I think the Clio Sport engine would be the perfect solution!

These are photos from the motor show of Moscow about 2 weeks ago.
I suppose this will be the new look at Imola. There are bigger Lada Sport stickers, and Rosoboronexport stickers. Rosoboronexport is a russian defense export state company and owns a part of AvtoVAZ. Last edited by Yannis; 19 Sep 2008 at 13:47. |

And the fact that homologation was given in the 20 century doesn't matter?
