Hamilton at ART in 2006?

Since ASM Formula 3 and ART GP2 are closely related, is LH going to race there next year ?

I doubt he'll be in GP2 next year, the series has close links with Renault - not to be ruled out though I wouldn't think.

Hamilton said a while back that GP2 is an option, so I wouldn't rule that out. Red Bull Racing is placing his drivers in the series as well (Speed and Jani).

I think he will be in GP2 - Alex Premat is backed by Mercedes, so his car didn't have Renault badges on it this year.

I'm not sure he'll be at ART though - can't see Ron having his driver at a team run by Nicolas Todt!

I don't think its close links with Renault affects anything. Mclaren placed Hamilton in British FRenault as they said it was the best place to start in car racing, and his Manor car had a Renault badge on its nose just like evryone elses. I hope he is in GP2 next year, as I'm sure he'll be a title contender.

Adam Carroll will be testing B.A.R Honda, Giorgio Pantano most is likely to sign with Ganassi, so I think Lewis may end up in the most British of teams, and still very high rated Super Nova International.

This cooperation may end up with Champiionship title, because it's look like Sears' team is reborn.

I don't think he'll be at Supernova - they'll be running Carroll again most likely and are forging BAR links.

Hamilton will be driving for a McLaren Junior GP2 team next year. Alongside Alex Wurz.

Indeed. I'll have to ask his dad Anthony but doubt if he will give anything away just yet!

Yes.
It works for both sides - Alex gets to race again, and McLaren know that alongside Lewis they have a driver who knows how to set up the car, and give meaningful feedback, so Lewis will be in a better position to win.

So is this all confirmed that Mclaren will have another junior team once again and is that the final driver line-up?

It hasn't been publically announced - although there was an article in Autosport about it today.

Thats really exciting news. I was looking forward to seeing how Hamilton would do in his first year in GP2, but now it will be very interesting to see what Wurz can do if the story is true. Its strange though, as he started in F1 9 years ago, and now it seems he will be racing in GP2.

Lewis and Alex will most likely end up at David Price Racing. The F1 forum is talking about Lewis running in a Mclaren B team in F1. Run by David I believe. David's team in currntly sponsored by the future sponsor of this new F1 team. But I dont think Lewis and Alex will be team mates just yet. I'm sure there are the current drivers will be fighting for those seats. But these two might end up in a BCN or Durango entry. Since all have sponosrship from the same company.DireXex SP????

The reborn of McLaren junior team, I see... Remember to me Heidfeld days.
BTW, where is David Brown now? (he was one of the principals of McLaren Junior F3000 team)

That's partially true, the company you mentioned is Direxiv, and they sponsor Olivier Pla at Dave Price Racing and Clivio Piccione at team Durango.

The BCN sponsor you saw at Ernesto Viso's car is DirecTV, a satellite TV provider, like Sky. DirecTV is placed in many parts of American continent. DirecTV sponsored too the car of Della Penna team at CART during year 2000.

Why not?

Keeps him sharp for his return to F1 in 2007 and is a good benchmark for Lewis.

Keeps his skills sharp? Wurz raced once this year, finished 4th on the road, 3rd on official results.

Where the hell did this GP2 rumour come from. Thursday morning the published report was Wurz and Hamilton with Direwhatever and DPR in *F1* not GP2.

The BCN sponsor is Direxiv, sponsoring Yoshimoto.

Sceptic's not usually wrong, but having not seen the Autosport report myself, it looks like he may be on this occasion.

I'd thought maybe they were doing GP2 in 06 and F1 in 07 - but you're probably correct.
