MK Racing
How many otherrs were surprised by the anouncement that MK Racing were to be the third chassis supplier to the IRL???
I'm sure Lola were!! So where have MK Racing appeared from?? Apparently Mike Kranefuss and kenny Anderson have managed to convince IRL that they have the capability to make a car, from what... smoke and mirrors???, yet another example of IRL making sure that Lola who supports CART will get no piece of the IRL scene..... surely something for the legal system to look into |

Yeah, this is a bit baffling. I thought that part of the supposed purpose of the screening process was to identify chassis makers that had solid open wheel chassis building experience. Wonder if Kranefuss still has a good relationship with Roger Penske - they co-owned a Nascar team for a while, and may be subcontracting some of this project to Penske Cars? Might this be a backdoor entry by Penske, after being "rejected" in their bid to build IRL cars.
I'll bet that Dallara and G-Force are ecstatic about this development. |

I doubt that, Penske and Kranefuss had a fairly signifigant falling out in NASCAR.

Robin Miller reported on ESPN RPM 2night (Weds.) that Penske Cars would in fact design and develop the MK chassis for the IRL. Looks like the batteries in my crystal ball still have a little life in them.
